The Greek Federation of Cricket under conducting educational conference of the European Aspire Program implemented by the Ministry of Sports Culture and the General Secretariat of Sports, presented Tuesday 19 February in OAKA, actions, objectives and results regarding access, inclusion and integration of vulnerable social groups in sport. The Federation was represented by President. Joseph Nikitas who is head and coordinator of the Working Group on the issue of using the cricket as a tool for socialization, inclusion and integration vulnerable groups.
The Federation of 2010 set the framework for designing and implementing international sports actions, with positive side effects, in sport, culture and tourism and the promotion of Greece. With a sense of social responsibility, the vision was to contribute to the socialization and support vulnerable groups, as is required to make an official sports body.
During the event, Culture and Sport Minister Giorgos Vasiliadis spoke about the importance of the program and legislative initiatives taken by the political leadership in this direction. It is worth noting that the bill will be submitted on Friday to the appropriate Committees of the House, no provision which provides for full membership rights in the sport of amateur sport for all persons lawfully residing in Greece with a residence permit valid, or filing certificate holders for the residence permit, especially for third country nationals or stateless, residing in the country or as beneficiaries of international protection either as applicants for international protection.
