Cricket was first played in the south England in the 16th century. By the end of the 18th century, it had become their national sport. The expansion of the British Empire resulted in the expression of the sport and from the middle of the 19th century the first international games took place.
Cricket is played both indoors and outdoors. It is played professionally in Pakistan, India, Australia, West Indies, South Africa, Great Britain, Canada, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, etc., as well as in 53 European countries, it is played in more than half of the world’s population.
Our National teams participate in European events of all age categories which are held each time in a different European country. Our country’s course in the European Championships is enviable and our National Team competes with foreign teams.
