Hellenic Cricket Federation (HCF) is pleased to invite schools groups\/ clubs\/teams, from across the globe, to take part in the INTERNATIONAL CRICKET SCHOOLS TOURNAMENT 2018<\/strong>. \u00a0Students\/Players must be between 14-17 years old<\/strong>. At the Tournament will participate up to ten teams\/school groups.<\/p>\n

Format<\/h4>\n

T20 Tournament. One innings per side, each innings limited to a maximum of 20 overs.<\/p>\n

Players date of birth<\/h4>\n

All students\/players must have been born from 1\/1\/2001-31\/12\/2004.<\/strong> Dates will be checked by the Tournament Referee at the Managers and Umpires meeting which will be held before the start of the tournament. Exceptionally at the tournament will be able to participate up to three (3)<\/u> younger players. <\/strong>The teams who wish to use younger players must submit to the Hellenic Cricket Federation the Special Dispensation – Underage application form signed by the guardian of the player at least two (2) months<\/u><\/strong> before the start of the Tournament.<\/p>\n

Tournament venue\/grounds<\/h4>\n

The tournament will be held in the beautiful island of Corfu. Corfu is one of the most cosmopolitan islands of Greece, located on the northern side of the Ionian Sea. Two to three \u00a0grounds will be used for the Tournament. One is the Marina cricket ground which is 2km away from the hotel. The second is the Espianada square ground which is situated at Corfu town and 10km from the hotel. All grounds have artificial pitches. All teams will play in all grounds<\/p>\n

Dates<\/h4>\n

The matches of the tournament will be held from Monday 25th till Saturday 30th of June.<\/p>\n

Organizers<\/h4>\n

Host: Hellenic Cricket Federation (H. C. F)<\/p>\n

Arrival and departure<\/h4>\n

Teams should organize to arrive in Corfu on Sunday 24th of June<\/strong> and depart on Sunday 1st of July. <\/strong>Coaches will transport teams from \u00a0\u00a0the airport to the hotel. Transfer time to hotel from airport is about \u00a030- 45 minutes respectively. \u00a0Flight details to be sent to the Tournament organizer at contact@cricket.gr<\/a>.<\/u><\/p>\n

Tournament umpires and officials<\/h4>\n

Every team is required to provide one umpire (with umpiring diploma if it is possible or cricketing experience) and one scorer (in a good level) who will participate to all the matches of the tournament<\/strong>. These two should be notified in the application form. Team officials will be fully responsible for the discipline of their team members during the event and period of stay. Participants are advised to ensure the safety of their belongings at all times.<\/p>\n

Managers, coaches and captains meetings<\/h4>\n

There will be a meeting of team officials chaired by the Tournament Referee, on the evening before the first day of the tournament.<\/p>\n

Accommodation<\/h4>\n

All the teams (players and officials will accommodate at Ionian Park Hotel (4 star Hotel). Accommodation is booked on a bed, breakfast and dinner basis. H.C. F will provide accommodation only with the entry fee\u00a0 \u00a0for 18 persons (15 student & 3 officials).\u00a0 Any extras must be settled in cooperation with Hellenic Cricket Federation Office. Hotel rooming list to be sent to the Tournament Organizer.<\/p>\n

Meals<\/h4>\n

Breakfast and dinner is provided in the hotel. It is essential that all schools\/teams inform the Tournament Organizer at contact@cricket.gr<\/a> of any special dietary requirements<\/p>\n

Medical facilities<\/h4>\n

There will be pharmacies boxes at all grounds .In case of emergency there will be full cover from the national center of urgent need.<\/p>\n

Gala dinner<\/h4>\n

There will be a Gala Dinner on Saturday 30th of June. All teams may wear evenly shirts and trousers or blue jeans (or other uniform appearance) and the officials must wear tie. The event must be attended by all participants.<\/p>\n

Photo shooting<\/h4>\n

There will be a photo shooting of all the participants of the tournament. The date and time will be set according on match schedule. Teams should be uniform dressed (with their playing clothes) and the officials must wear tie.<\/p>\n
