{"id":8116,"date":"2017-11-23T16:06:18","date_gmt":"2017-11-23T16:06:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cricket.gr\/t20-senior-cricket-tournament\/"},"modified":"2021-09-09T06:51:51","modified_gmt":"2021-09-09T06:51:51","slug":"t20-senior-cricket-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cricket.gr\/en\/t20-senior-cricket-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"T20 Senior Cricket Tournament 2018, 8-13\/10"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Welcome and introduction<\/h4>\n<p>Hellenic Cricket Federation (HCF) is pleased to invite \u00a0clubs\/teams, from across the globe, to take part in the <strong>H.P.L T20 Senior Cricket Tournament which will be held in Corfu the period from 8-1\u00a0of October 2018. <\/strong><strong>Exceptionally at the tournament will be able to participate <u>up to three (3)<\/u> younger players. <\/strong>The teams who wish to use younger players must submit to the Hellenic Cricket Federation the Special Dispensation &#8211; Underage application form signed by the guardian of the player at <strong><u>least two (2) months<\/u><\/strong> before the start of the Tournament.<\/p>\n<h4>Format<\/h4>\n<p>T20 Tournament. One innings per side, each innings limited to a maximum of 20 overs.<\/p>\n<h4>Tournament venue\/grounds<\/h4>\n<p>The tournament will be held in the beautiful island of Corfu. Corfu is one of the most cosmopolitan islands of Greece, located on the northern side of the Ionian Sea. <strong>Marina cricket ground(artificial)<\/strong> will be used, \u00a0which is 2km away from the hotel.<\/p>\n<h4>Dates<\/h4>\n<p>The matches of the tournament will be held from Monday <strong><u>1<sup>st<\/sup> till Saturday 6<sup>th<\/sup> of October <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Organizers<\/h4>\n<p>Host: Hellenic Cricket Federation (H. C. F)<\/p>\n<h4>Arrival and departure<\/h4>\n<p>Teams should organize to arrive in Corfu on <strong>Sunday 30<sup>rd<\/sup> \u00a0<\/strong>and depart on <strong>Sunday 7<sup>th<\/sup>. \u00a0<\/strong>Coaches will transport teams from \u00a0the airport to the hotel. Transfer time to hotel from airport is about \u00a030- 45 minutes respectively. \u00a0Flight details to be sent to the Tournament organizer at <a href=\"mailto:contact@cricket.gr\">contact@cricket.gr<\/a><u>.<\/u><\/p>\n<h4>Tournament umpires and officials<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Every team is required to provide one umpire (with umpiring diploma if it is possible or cricketing experience) and one scorer (in a good level) who will participate to all the matches of the tournament<\/strong>. These two should be notified in the application form. Team officials will be fully responsible for the discipline of their team members during the event and period of stay. Participants are advised to ensure the safety of their belongings at all times.<\/p>\n<h4>Managers, coaches and captains meetings<\/h4>\n<p>There will be a meeting of team officials chaired by the Tournament Referee, on the evening before the first day of the tournament.<\/p>\n<h4>Accommodation<\/h4>\n<p>All the teams (players and officials will accommodate at Ionian Park Hotel (4 star Hotel). Accommodation is booked on a bed, breakfast and dinner basis. Any extras must be settled in cooperation with Hellenic Cricket Federation Office. It is essential that all teams inform the Tournament Organizer at <strong><a href=\"mailto:contact@cricket.gr\">contact@cricket.gr<\/a><\/strong> \u00a0of any special dietary requirements.<\/p>\n<h4>Medical facilities<\/h4>\n<p>There will be pharmacies boxes at all grounds .In case of emergency there will be full cover from the national center of urgent need.<\/p>\n<h4>Awards<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\u03a4\u03bf the winning team will be given trophy \u00a0and medals<\/li>\n<li>2.000 euros sponsoring award to the winning team (with the condition of the participation of five teams at least)<\/li>\n<li>To the Runners up\u00a0\u00a0 will be given trophy\u00a0 \u00a0and medals.<\/li>\n<li>To the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place will be given medals<\/li>\n<li>Player of the Tournament award<\/li>\n<li>Spirit of cricket team award<\/li>\n<li>In all participant teams will be given diplomas\/certifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Weather<\/h4>\n<p>In Corfu Town people are still enjoying an average temperature of 19\u00b0C (66\u00b0F), with a high of around 23\u00b0C (73\u00b0F) and low of 14\u00b0C (57\u00b0F).<\/p>\n<h4>Finance<\/h4>\n<p>To secure a place in the Tournament <strong>a deposit of 500 euros per team is required<\/strong>.
